		<description>Montreal, Philly, Grand Canyon, the Tetons (our personal favorite) Palo Alto, etc are not on a straight line at all.  We&#039;ve done both the north-central and south-central routes, and the northern is better, esp in summer.  Perhaps this will assist: would you rather go through Memphis, Atlanta, or Chicago?  Alternately, where do your friends live?

I&#039;ll create a Google Map of our trip from LA to RI in 1986, later.</description>
